Tell City team won sectionals in 1950 and 1951, undefeated season in 1950…three-year starter at Indiana University, member of two Big Ten Championship teams 1953 and 1954, NCAA Champs 1953…coached varsity basketball at Marshall Township, Plainville, Loogootee St. Johns, Cascade and Heritage Hills High Schools, won Wabash Valley Tourney  Championship in 1964, and Wabash Valley Tourney Runner-up 1965 at Loogootee St. Johns…played for Hall of Fame inductees Andy Taff (Tell City) and Branch McCracken (Indiana University).
