Army during World War II to begin a 38-year career in officiating...worked between 50 and 60 games a year during that span...credits include 3 Wabash Valley Tournament finals...3 Indiana-Kentucky all-star games...3 Final Four appearances...refereed 'Church Street Shootout,' when Hall of Famers Ray Pavy and Jimmy Rayl combined to score 100 points in old New Castle gymnasium.
