Played with Syracuse, L. A. Lakers and New York Knicks A starting forward for Roosevelt's 1955 state finalists, playing alongside Mr. Basketball Wilson Eison scored 18 points in each game in finals, losing at night to Oscar Robertson and Crispus Attucks 4-year NAIA All-American at Tennessee State and member of 3 NAIA national championship teams 14 years in NBA with Syracuse, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks With backcourt mate Walt Frazier, led Knicks to league crowns in 1970 and 1973 15.8 career scoring average, with a distinctive 'question mark' jump shot. The Knicks retired his jersey #12 in 1990. He earned his doctorate in education at Fordham.
