Three-year starter for Fort Wayne North Side, team ranked #1 in the state in 1954, beaten by Muncie Central in semi-finals...final four in 1956, lost to Gary Roosevelt...2nd leading scorer in Ft. Wayne with 15.3 avg...first All-American at University of Miami, led Miami to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 1960...drafted by Kansas City Steers, played one season before being drafted into Army, CISM team in Army, won Military Olympics in Athens Greece 1963...coaching career began as an assistant basketball coach at University of Miami, from 1971-1985 coached at four different high schools in the Miami area...Coach of the Year in Miami 1983 while coaching at Gulliver High School...inducted into the University of Miami Athletic Hall of Fame. Deceased.
