Led Tech to its first-ever North Central Conf. title in '32...made state tournament his senior year...2-time city champions...set DePauw single-game and season scoring records as a sophomore...All-State...ICC champions...moved on to Michigan team with brother, John...set Wolverines single-game scoring record...straight-A student at Michigan and roommate of future Pres. Gerald Ford...team captain as sr...began radio announcing career...in 1949 became Indiana's first television announcer, doing the Indianapolis 500 announcing as well as the 1950-51 state finals. He was also active as a referee.
