Won nearly 79 percent of his games during a career in which his teams won 663 and lost just 187...led Lebanon to a state title in 1918, then moved to Martinsville, where he won state championships in 1924, 1927 and with Tony Hinkle of the first Indiana all-star team to play Kentucky...coached the all-star team six times...never had a losing season as a coach in 18 years at Martinsville, won 15 sectionals and 12 regionals ...became athletic director and coach at Indiana State in 1938...1946 Sycamores won the Midwest Invitational Tourney at Chicago...coached briefly with the Indianapolis Kautskys before moving into the school administration field at Martinsville. Deceased.
