Jerry played on two teams that went undefeated during the regular season and he averaged 28 points a game during his senior year. He was named the Most Valuable Player on the team that went to the final four and finished 27 and 1. Jerry was also named to the Indiana All-Stars. He played college ball under Hall of Famer Duane Kleuh at Indiana State University. Jerry was named to the Silver Anniversary Team in 1989 and, at that time, was Vice-President of Newson Industries in Columbus, Indiana.
