Played for Hall of Famer Bob Straight at Huntington, three regional championship teams and was selected to the All-Sectional, Regional and Semi-State teams junior and senior year. Graduate of Ball State University. Coached at Lake Central leading them to the state finals in 1984. Guided Lafayette Jefferson to state in 1992 and 1996. Won 192 games in 13 seasons at Lafayette Jeff. Had 441 wins overall in his 31-year coaching career that included stops at Dunkirk, Austin and Mooresville in addition to Lake Central and Lafayette Jeff. Coached the Indiana all-Star team in 1993. Deceased 2001.
