Played professionally with Indianapolis Kautskys…coached at South Bend Central High School, Indiana State University, and the University of California at Los Angeles…a legend even among legends, winning 10 NCAA championships in 12-year span at UCLA…as a player at Purdue, was the first 3-time All American…set Big 10 scoring record and won Helms Foundation Award in 1932…played on Martinsville’s 1927 state championship team his junior year, as well as 2 state runner-up teams, losing to Marion and Muncie Central in championship games.
