Leading scorer (19.1 ppg), leading free throw shooter (.910) and leading field goal shooter (.521) for Valparaiso High School, captain on 20-4 and 4th ranked basketball team during senior year playing for Hall of Famer Virgil Sweet...made 409 consecutive free throws during practice, a national scholastic record...captain, MVP and leading scorer at Indiana State as a senior...lead his team during junior year to the NCAA Division II runners-up for the National Championship...head coach 16 years at Paoli, Munster and Warren Central, won seven sectionals,  three Holiday Tourney Titles while rebuilding programs at these schools.
