Won 418 and lost 153 during 23-year high school coaching career ...coached 4 sports at Fort Wayne Central, winning state basketball championship in 1943...won 10 sectionals, 8 regionals, and 4 semistate...coached Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons 2 yrs & Anderson Packers 3 yrs, winning National Basketball League title with that team in '48-'49...was named league's coach of the year the previous season...played basketball & baseball at West Newton...at DePauw University, starred 3 years for a team that lost only 8 games in the span, beating such teams as IU, Purdue & Notre Dame...named best college player in 1922...played semi-pro football & pro basketball.
