Paul Armstrong

A two time All-Stater for Fort Wayne Central High School, he was named the best all around athlete before graduating in 1937. He helped his team to a 50-6 record and made state finals twice. He went on to play three years at Indiana University. As a junior at IU, he played on the 1940 national championship team. He was all Big Ten that season. He played on the Great Lakes Naval Training Station team that went 47-3 and won national service title. He then played 11 seasons with the Fort Wayne Zollner Pistons. Paul was named to all-league teams and voted all-time Zollner team.
