3-yr player for Hall of Fame coach Ray Eddy led Cubs to state finals in each of last two seasons...team's top rebounder and second leading scorer behind Mr. Basketball Dee Monroe in 1949 when Cubs lost state title game by single point to Jasper...captain as senior, averaged 15.9 points per game for the year as the Cubs topped Marion and Lafayette Jeff for title, completing 2-yr run in which Madison went 51-6...named to Indiana All-Star team...earned 4th baseball letter and pitched 3 no-hitters...3-yr starter at Yale...team MVP as jr, captain as sr, and twice All-Ivy League...led Elis in rebounding two years and scoring once.
