Graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1956 with 1-game scoring record of 47 points. Played in sectional all four years in school, and in 1956 played in regional and first game of semi-state. Was a member of Indiana All Stars, played for C. M. Newton at Transylvania College, and was letterman and captain of freshman team at the University of Illinois. Lives in Indianapolis, where he is Latin American Industrial Relations Advisor for Eli Lilly International Corporation.
