High School, he took his 114-pound frame to Wabash College, where he was a regular on basketball, football and baseball teams ... joined staff at Purdue in 1916, then left to serve in WW I ... returned to Purdue to lead basketball fortunes for 29 years until his retirement ... 371-152 overall record including 228-105 in Big 10-play, winning or sharing in 11 conference titles ..served as athletic director at Richmond as well as coaching football and track ... went into HS administration and later became school superintendent ... in 9-yr period, won 8 sectional titles. |
