Winner of Gimbel Award in 1923 when his Anderson played in Final 4 ...lost to Franklin's 'Wonder 5' in state title game 2 yrs earlier, reached final 8 as junior...All-State in 1923...standout in track, finish- ing second in state pole vault, and later winning that event in 1925 state college track meet...graduated in 3 yrs from Wabash where he won varsity letters in football, basketball, track and tennis…for Wabash "Wonder Five," winners of Indiana intercollegiate championship in 1924-25, he was 3-time All-Star, All-Western Conference and All-American…coached Centerville High School 1927-29, he was 3-time All-Star.
