Played on both the 1917 and 1918 state championship Lebanon teams, scoring a total of 26 points in those games... All-State... Big 10's leading scorer at Purdue University in 1921... All-American... Purdue tied for conference championship that year, winning it outright the next year... coached at Washington University at St. Louis, Connecticut and Rutgers... chosen by U. S. State Department to set up a basketball program in Thailand... coached that nation's 1956 Olympic team. In 1942, he was selected by writers, coaches and officials as one of the 10 all-time All-Americans.
