Crawfordsville's athletic director and assistant principal, 1945-62 ... served 10 yrs on IHSAA Athletic Council ... 2 yrs on IHSAA Board of Control, of which he is past presi- dent ... as Committee Chair in '32 he devised a rating system for officials, which is basically unchanged today ... in late 20s and early 30s, led a successful 1-man campaign to reduce lengths of quarters for teams below varsity level…after retiring from teaching, he served as Crawfordsville park superintendent for 10 years.
