'Barney' also coached at Yorktown, Danville, Flora, and Jeffersonville High Schools ... coached a year at Central Normal College with undefeated team winning intercollegiate state title ... high school teams won 5 sectionals, 3 regionals, and 1 semistate ... half of his 30 seasons were spent at Shelbyville, where he was also athletic director ... only 2 losing seasons in those 3 decades ... basketball and track athlete at Roachdale High School.
