All-sectional, all-regional & all-semistate performer for Hope in '45, helping them to the only sectional and regional championships in its history...member of Indiana All-Star team...4-yr basketball and softball player...played 3 yrs for Tony Hinkle at Butler where he won 2 letters in baseball...followed teaching of Hinkle into successful coaching career, first at Mitchell and then Carmel (58-70)...coached Carmel to runner-up spot In the state championship in 1970…state's co-coach of the year that season…lifetime coaching record 336-145, including a 50-game home winning streak at Carmel in 1967 through 1970. He coached two sons who were Mr. Basketball, Billy in 1968 and Dave in 1970. Was Athletic Director at Carmel.
