Coached at Solsberry and Bloomfield...Amassed 489 victories and 71-percent winning rate, first coaching at tiny Solsberry and then 25 years at Bloomfield ... despite having only 400 students at Bloomfield, his teams won 10 sectionals, 2 regionals and 2 Wabash Valley Tournaments ... later became Bloomfield's athletic director ... as a high schooler, started 4 years for Solsberry, where he would later coach 3 years ... played freshman basketball at Central Normal College, before leaving for World War II ... known for his ability to teach fundamentals.
