3-yr standout center for Delphi High School...all-sectional, all- regional each season...twice helped his team to state finals, the second squad finishing regular season undefeated...stood only 6-1, but considered the greatest jumping center of his era...All-State...played 3 years with Western Michigan...led team to 40-13 record in that time.
