Coached at Huntington High School before returning to IU...asst coach, then 5 seasons as head coach, Started every game at Jeffersonville in 4-yr varsity career... 3-time all sectional and all-regional...established scoring records... college career delayed by WW II...the only high school player on his service team, yet the leading scorer on unit ranked 3rd in nation...was 4-yr starter at Indiana Univ...MVP as junior and senior...all-Big 10 those years...broke IU's career and Big 10 scoring records...All-American third- teamer...2-time winner of coveted Balfour Award at IU.
