Many years with Firestone's traveling baseball & Basketball team...All-sectional forward at Indianapolis Arsenal Technical in 1920 and '21, and picked as outstanding in state ... made all-state in football and track, and was member of record-tying state champion relay team ... also won state high hurdles ... at Butler University, was All-American in basketball in 1924 ... made All-State in 4 sports including football, baseball and track ... all-Western Conference football performer in 1924, earning the nickname "Golden Toes."
