All-sectional and all-regional at Huntington ... captained team as a senior ... also played football and baseball ... 3-yr standout at Ball State Teachers College, where his coach was Branch McCracken ... though only 5-5, he was team's leading scorer for 3 years ... played on only Ball State team to beat Indiana University, 1937 ... leading hitter on Ball State's baseball team for 3 seasons ... selected twice on Little State basketball team. Played with the Indianapolis Kautskys, then coached at Hagerstown and Muncie Burris. Was an IHSAA official. |
