S. member of Trojans' '32 championship team...fullback and linebacker on 2 undefeated football teams ...placed in state track meet in the 440...played basketball, football and track at Butler, but injury forced him to drop all but track...member of state champion mile relay team in '35...after serving 5 yrs as asst coach at New Castle, became Wabash's varsity coach in '44...named to Indiana College All-Stars ...Honorable Mention all-Big 10 in 1936.
