'Mac' spent 28 yrs as high school basketball official ... worked state finals in 1951 and '52 ... officiated Indiana-Kentucky all star game in '63 ... left officiating due to heart attack, but continued with IHSAA as rules interpreter and observer of officials ... served as sec/treas of Eastern Indiana Officials Assn 20 yrs plus ... ran Richmond's recreation program 6 yrs, then became city parks director, serving over 3 decades ... past president of Ind. Football Hall of Fame ... said he was 'very lucky to get in the lineup' in high school.
