As senior, Jasper finished season 11-9, but then scrapped their way to Final Four...'Dimp' was team captain, and led team with 30 points on championship day to give Jasper the 1949 title...team MVP... all-State ... at University of Mississippi, named to Southeastern Conference all-sophomore team in '51...team captain in '53...returned to Indiana to coach...in 7 years at tiny Ireland High School, won 3 straight conference championships and put together a string of 45 straight regular-season victories from '59 to '62…coached Lapel for six years, then moved to Tell City as assistant principal and athletic director.
