Coached at Francesville, Winamac, Elwood and Lafayette Jeff", Starting guard as junior on Marion Crawley's 1952 state finals team, losing to Tech and Joe Sexson...all NCC as a senior...a knee injury ended his hardwood playing career after one year at Xavier...transferred to Purdue, where he played three years of baseball...coached Francesville, Winamac, and Elwood high schools to 104-71 record...in 1967, received the unenviable task of succeeding Crawley at Lafayette Jeff...coached the Bronchos to a 191-60 record in 10 years. He was later athletic director at Lafayette Jeff.
