Six seasons of professional ball including 2 yrs with Anderson Packers and 2 more with Doxie Moore's Sheboygan Redskins...Started as a jr. on 1938 state championship team, the 1st school from the Summit City to win a title...played alongside Ralph Hamilton under Coach Burt Friddle, both Hall of Famers, that season...earned all-state honors the following year while leading the Archers to an undefeated regular season but South was upset in the regional by Ossian ...played collegiately at Toledo Univ. which was ranked #5 nationally in 1941, earning trip to NIT finals.
