4-year letterman in basketball and golf at Rochester...played for HOF coach Clyde Lyle...concentrated on golf at Ball State, playing basket- ball just 1 year...began coaching career at Indianapolis Washington... coached the Continentals to the 1965 state title behind All-Star Ralph Taylor and Mr. Basketball Billy Keller...developed great Washington team featuring George McGinnis and Steve Downing but left high school coaching prior to their senior year, to take an assistant coaching position at IU….worked with Pacers Personnel. First Sports Director of the Hoosier Dome.
