A 3-yr letterman at Union Center...led his little (58 students) twp school to rare sectional victory as senior in 1939...4-yr varsity career at Huntington College was interrupted by military service...twice ranked among top 4 collegiate scorers in state...after playing with Ft. Wayne Pistons, coached at Columbia City from 1953-58...following 3 yrs as an athletic director, returned to bench at Warsaw in 1961 where he won 160 games.
