Played for Anderson Packers of the old NBA...Coached at Beech Grove, Greensburg, and Fort Wayne Central High Schools and at Indiana Institute of Technology...Murray was a member of Fort Wayne Central's 1943 state championship team which he led in scoring. The team was coached by his father who is a member of the Hall of Fame. Murray was named to the all-tournament teams in the Sectional, Regional, Semistate and Final meets in 1943 and the all-Sectional team in 1944.
