Head basketball coach at Swayzee and at Marion; also athletic director, freshman coach, and varsity asst coach at various times Gas City lost to Ft Wayne central during sophomore year; in jr year, posted 17-1 regular season record, winning Grant Co. tourney as well as 3 sectional games before losing to Marion...during senior yr again 17-1 and won 3 sectional games, losing again to Marion 45-40...went on to play 4 yrs of basketball as well as baseball at Indiana Central...won Brenneman Sportsmanship Award in '52...head coach at Swayzee from '53-'60.
