Earned three letters and captained the sectional and conference championship team at Elkhart...coached at Kewanna, Jimtown, Sullivan, Mishawaka and Muncie Central...won 238 and lost 108 before retiring because of health reasons...won seven sectionals (5 at Muncie, 1 at Sullivan, 1 at Mishawaka), six regionals (5 at Muncie, 1 at Mishawaka) and two semi-states (at Muncie Central)...took Muncie Central to state final game in 1960...record at Muncie Central was an incredible 121-19 mark best percentage for Muncie Central over 5 year period...has best winning percentage of any coach in North Central Conference history, an amazing .816 percent (40-9).
