Spring of 1971 was Bob Knight's first IU recruit, after a 3 yr. playing career at Silver Creek under his father, Ray...scored 1,404 points on teams that went 58-14, then 1,265 on IU teams that went 76 - 12...he and John Laskowski were the Chicago Bulls' top 2 picks in the 1975 draft, but Green opted to sign with Utah in the ABA....played 5 pro. yrs., 4 with the Indiana Pacers, before returning to school to get a degree in Dentistry...was an Academic All - American & winner of an NCAA postgrad. Scholarship.
