HIGH SCHOOL:

As president of Associated Sports Productions, Pate has administered the Indiana High School Athletic Association's radio and television packages and its corporate sponsorship activities for the past 22 years...both are premier programs among state high school associations in the U.S.....a native of Tennessee, Pate joined WSBT in South Bend in 1962. During his eleven-yr. tenure at WSBT Radio & Television, as Sports Dir., he did play by play of more than 100 high school basketball and football games as well as Notre Dame basketball... in 1972 began an 18-yr. stint as played a year with Indianapolis Kautskys and a year in Missouri Valley AAU League before beginning successful business career.
