Jim Stutz was primarily known as a football player at Howe & DePauw ... returned to his high school alma mater and won 245 games in 21 seasons as head coach in rugged competition against 27 Hall of Fame coaches and 50 Indiana All-Stars ... 1965-66 Howe team ranked #1 in the state during a 23-3 season that included City & Sectional tournament championships ... Stutz coached sectional championship teams in 1963-64 and 1978-79 ... his 1963-64 team won the Indianapolis Regional ... after coaching, he spent ten years as Athletic Director for Indianapolis Public Schools.
