First assignment as head coach at age 25 at Greene Twp; then South Bend Adams... Hadaway's Adams teams won more Northern Indiana Conf Championships (9), more S. B. sectionals (5), more S. B. city tournaments (7) and had more wins (315) than any other coach in S. B. basketball history -- and that includes names like Powers, McCall, and Wooden... 7 of his teams were ranked #1 at some point during regular season... 1979 team undefeated in regular season with 24 wins and was ranked #1 in every poll; went all the way to state championship game, losing to New Albany 84-79.
