1970 Mr. Basketball…played for Hall of Famer and father, Bill Shepherd…scored 2,226 points in a three year career at Carmel High School and 10th on the All-Time State List…still holds the IHSAA state championship game record of 40 points... never lost a home game on the Carmel court, posting 50 consecutive victories... averaged 26 points per game as a freshman at IU. 1974 player for the University of Mississippi, MVP there for 1975.
