1977 Miss Basketball and Mental Attitude Award Winner

 Led the Norwell Knights to the Final Four of the Indiana Girls' State Basketball Championship in 1977...scored 28 points in a losing cause during the afternoon game but was named the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winner...Miss Basketball for the Indiana All-Star Team...during senior year, averaged over 25 points, 4.8 assists and 5 steals per game...coached the Fort Wayned Bishop Luers High School Girls' Basketball Team to the 3-A State Championship in 2002...being named Miss Basketball in 1977 and coaching a state championship team in 2002, was the first woman to accomplish both of these feats...also served as girls' varsity basketball coach at Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne and at Homestead High School in Fort Wayne...2002 Silver Anniversary Team.
