Three-year varsity starter at forward, team record for those three years 65-5…senior season the Dragons were 18-1 and semi-state champions…junior season the 1978 sectional championship team was the first team in school history to win a sectional…helped start the Indiana state record 76 straight regular season consecutive win streak for Argos…team MVP…3 year varsity scoring record 1113 and 496 rebounds…played 4 seasons for coach Homer Drew at Bethel College…starting 131 games, scoring 1399 points and recording 494 assists. Smith, Jr., Frank Gary Lew Wallace

Team record 62-24…team won first Hall of Fame Classic 1977…AP All-State team 2 years… on All-NWC team…member of the Indiana/Kentucky Classic vs. McDonald All-American team…records from high school 624 pts single season, averaged 29 ppg…3 year scoring 1243, 1026 rebounds, 433 blocked shots…played four years at University of Arizona. Williams, Eric South Bend Washington

Four-year letterman…scoring 1431 career points…led team to #2 ranking as sophomore…as a junior and senior made All-City, All-Conference, All-State, All-American…led team with 18 points in the Indiana Kentucky All Star game…scored 1431 career points…went to the University of Nebraska. Representative for Goodyear Rubber and Tire, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Steve Bouchie, Mr. Basketball, from Washington High School leads eight other members of the 1979 Indiana All-Star Team on the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team. Joining Bouchie among the elite basketball team from twenty-five years ago are David Bastian, North Central of Indianapolis, Cam Cameron, Terre Haute South, Chuck Franz, Clarksville, Daniel Glanders, Elkhart Central, Dennis Goins, Rushville, Tom Heitz, Hamilton, Lynn Mitchem, South Bend John Adams, Leroy Sutton, South Bend John Adams and Eric Williams from South Bend Washington.

Other members of the select group are James Fisher, Lebanon, Michael Isgrigg, Frankfort, and Rick McKinstry, Howe. Rounding out the illustrious team is Raynard Malaine from William A. Wirt, Gary, Bill O’Dell, Argos, and Frank Smith Jr., Gary Lew Wallace.
