Evansville Mater Dei vs. Logansport

Two more undefeated teams played in the second game of the girls’ tournament - Evansville Mater Dei (11-0) and Logansport (11-0.)

Mater Dei came out firing to hold a 26-11 lead after the first quarter.  Mater Dei kept the lead and was up 45-22 at the end of the first half, courtesy of 63% shooting from the field.  With Mater Dei coming out with a dominant third quarter, they continued to lead 72-41 and the Wildcats defeated the Logansport Berries 83-54.

Mater Dei’s Maura Muensterman led all scorers with 40 points, on 9-of-14 shooting from the field, including 7-of-10 beyond the arc.  In the process, Muensterman broke a girls’ Hall of Fame Classic semifinals record, eclipsing the record of Shanna Zolman of Wawasee in 2001, and the three-point field goals made mark in a girls' semifinal, previously held by Zolman, Jennifer Jacoby of Rossville and Kristin Craig of Carmel.  Sophomore teammate Tori Schickel left her mark on the record book, tying the semifinal record for most rebounds (18), to go along with her 17 points.
