    Noblesville in the 1950’s was, and remains, the county seat of Hamilton County, the county located due north of Marion County,  with its large capital city of Indianapolis.  It was small in population (approximately 7000), Protestant, Republican, conservative, overwhelmingly White, quietly segregated, and enjoyed a comfortable prosperity anchored by the largest employer, a Firestone Tire and Rubber company plant.

  • “Only in Indiana” debuts at Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

    A new short film titled “Only in Indiana” has debuted at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s Danielson Theater.

    The 15-minute film, chronicling the memories and experiences of nine Indiana basketball legends, was the brainchild of the late philanthropist and Hall of Fame supporter, Danny Danielson.

    Chandler is located in Warrick County about five miles west of the county seat Boonville and thirteen miles east of downtown Evansville and today has a population of about 2900. Chandler High School first played in the state tournament in 1925 in the Evansville sectional, the Panthers were matched up with archrival and county foe Boonville, losing 22-19.
