Member of the 1951 Muncie Central State Championship team (26-4 record), captain of the 1952 Bearcat state championship team and led Central in assists as they went 25-5 on the season...a first team all-sectional, all-regional, all-semi-state, and all-state selection and wore jersey #4 for the 1952 Indiana All-Stars...received full-ride athletic scholarship to Purdue University, where he was a three-year starter under Hall of Famer Ray Eddy and played with Hall of Famers Joe Sexson and Lamar Lundy...he was assist leader and 2nd leading scorer (13.8) and rebounder (7.5) his senior year of 1955-56...coached at Kentland and Yorktown High Schools from 1956-1969, his Yorktown team won the Delaware County Tourney and went 20-5 in the 1965-66 season...1977 Silver Anniversary Team.
