A member of the first central committee for the new basketball hall of fame...past district governor of Lions Club, original sponsor of the Hall of Fame...served as treasurer of the central committee until that group was absorbed by the Hall of Fame Foundation...president of the Hall of Fame board of directors in 1971...also served as chairman of the board...a co-founder of the Montgomery County Boys Club...helped organize Little League baseball in Crawfordsville...an active basketball player in high school and college, he played 8 years in Crawfordsville's old armory, the first basketball floor in the state...served as a basketball and football official in the '30s...coached an industrial team to a 104-19 record. Deceased.
