Started the girls' basketball program at Columbus High School in 1970-71, then to Columbus East and started their program in 1972-73. Won first season at Columbus East with only sophomores and juniors on the team. Won the first trophy for the athletic department, shared the Hoosier Hills Conference title 3 times from 1977-1982. State runner-up team in 1980. Career record 127-55. Won the Jack Cramer Ideal of Athletic Competition Award. Worked Pat Summit's basketball camp for two summers in 1980s.
