Jim Stutz was primarily known as a football player at Howe & DePauw … returned to his high school alma mater and won 245 games in 21 seasons as head coach in rugged competition against 27 Hall of Fame coaches and 50 Indiana All-Stars … 1965-66 Howe team ranked #1 in the state during a 23-3 season that included City & Sectional tournament championships … Stutz coached sectional championship teams in 1963-64 and 1978-79 … his 1963-64 team won the Indianapolis Regional … after coaching, he spent ten years as Athletic Director for Indianapolis Public Schools.
