Played in consecutive state championship games, as a sophomore on Crispus Attucks’ 1956 state champs and a junior on their 1957 state runner-up squad… played under Hall of Famers Ray Crowe and Bill Garrett on teams that were 76-12… outstanding career at Miami (OH) included two 1st team All-Mid-American Conference selections, twice honorable mention All-American, led the conference and set school single-season scoring record with 687 points his senior year… during service in the U.S. Army, he was a captain and MVP of U.S. All-Star teams… played in AAU National Championships in Denver, Colorado in 1967, selected 1st team All-AAU…competed in pro and semi-pro ball until 1970.
