All-City & all-conference three years, twice Allen Co. Player of the Year, leading scorer in Ft. Wayne three years...helped lead Concordia to first ever sectional championship jr. year (1963) & finished H.S. career with 1,623 points & 22.9 career scoring avg. that lasted as Ft. Wayne's & Allen County's scoring record for 40 years...member of the 64 Indiana All-Star team...scored a school record 1,299 points at the Univ. of Nebraska...career avg. of 17.3 ppg remains 3rd best in Huskers history & set multiple FT records...led Huskers to 20-win season & #11 ranking in the final UPI poll his soph. season...was an all-Big Eight Conf. selection...drafted by Detroit Pistons in 1968...inducted into Nebraska Basketball HOF in 95...89 Silver Anniversary Team...inducted into the Concordia Lutheran H.S. Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.
